Our Curriculum

The SCS currently offers 4 classes to meet the needs of students with different skill levels of Chinese and ages: one at advanced level, one at the intermediate level and two at the beginner level (Beginner I, Beginner II). Each class is taught by an experienced instructor with a postgraduate degree. There are 12 lectures in each semester which are scheduled at 2pm-4pm on Sundays on the OSU Stillwater campus. To accommodate the disparity among the kids in their language skill and age, the instructors usually incorporate active learning strategies and hands-on activities to stimulate students’ interest and passion in Chinese learning, based on a carefully-designed curriculum and various teaching materials.
